HandicapWhilst we welcome all visitors to our club, we would ask that you please adhere to the following rules whilst on the club grounds.
1. ARRIVAL. On arrival, visitors should report to the Professional Shop to sign in. Visitors should then confirm their
tee times with the Caddiemaster. ( Current Handicap Certificates must be produced when signing in)
2. PAYMENT. Green Fees are payable in advance. Payment may be made by Sterling cheque, or by Credit Card.
American Express and Diners Club Cards are not accepted.
3. CANCELLATION. There will be no refund of Green Fees cancelled within 3 months of play.
4. COURSE ORDER. The order of play will be as set out on the Booking Form. No alteration may be made without prior discussion with the Golf Operations Department. Visitors playing two rounds will be asked to alternate onto the other
course in the afternoon. Short rounds may be played by finishing at the 10th or 13th Green on the Old, and the 10th
or 11th Green on the New. Cutting in is NOT PERMITTED. On Mondays one course is designated the 2 Ball Course
until 3pm. Please check when booking a tee time. In Winter months there is a course order in operation every day.
5. PLAY. Play will be from the YELLOW TEES. ( Old Course par 70, 6063 yds, New Course par 70, 6083 yds)
Ladies will play from RED TEES, (Old Course par 74, 5825 yds, New Course par 74, 5840 yds).
6. HANDICAPS. The courses are not suitable for high handicap players or beginners. The maximum handicap for a man is 18 and a lady 24. A valid handicap certificate must be produced when signing in. Any player who does not meet the required standard will not be allowed to play.
7. CATERING. Lunch ( 12pm to 2.30pm ) Tickets may be purchased from the steward in the Dining Room. The exception
is Monday's when there is light catering only. Sandwiches and light catering are available in the Critchley Room until
3.30 pm. Afternoon tea is served from 3 pm to 6 pm.
8. DRESS. Men are requested to wear jackets with shirt, tie or cravat in the dining room. Smart casual is required in the bars.
Jeans are NOT ALLOWED either in the Clubhouse or on the course. Tailored shorts may be worn at the Club provided
they are worn with either plain coloured knee length socks or white sports socks which cover the ankle.
9. MOBILE PHONES. Visitors are respectfully requested to comply with the Club's rules. Phones may be used in the following areas: Visitors Changing Room, Public Phone Point outside the Changing Room, Championship Room and the Car Park.
Phones may not be used in the Lobby, on the Terraces, outside the Pro Shop or in any other area including the putting green.
10. CADDIES. Caddies may be ordered through the Caddiemaster. To avoid disappointment, please give 48 house notice. Caddie fees are £40per round (exclusive of optional tip). Caddies are allotted one round at a time and settlement with caddies should be at the end of each round. There may be circumstances when a different caddie will be offered for the second round. In the event of cancellation, 24 hours notice is required, or full fee will be charged. Buggies are not available.
